Can you picture yourself by this pool on the remote island of Ithaca for a week?
Join us for a week’s escape to the land of Homer’s Odyssey and Greek Mythology. Immerse yourself in the elements of Nature to feel rooted in the earth, soaking up the Mediterranean sun, bathing in the crystal-clear sea and cooled by a gentle breeze.
This is a week to let go of the forward momentum and relentless pace of life… to slow into a new rhythm where you can simply be. After all, life is an odyssey, and this retreat is your rest stop for healthy reflection and self-discovery… a place to nourish, replenish, relax and recharge.
“As you set out on your journey to Ithaca, pray that your journey be a long one, filled with adventure, filled with discovery.” – Constantine P. Cavafy
12th – 19th October 2024
Our home for the week is the stunning Itha108, perched on the coastal hills of Ithaca, one of the smallest Ionian islands in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Enjoy an animated panorama of stunning seascapes and secretive coves in an elevated wilderness of olive trees and exposed rock. An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living ensures full use of the land and its treasures that extend to sweeping, hidden beaches below.

Together we will embark on an odyssey of the elements, exploring the landscape within while connecting with the mythical lands that hold us.
Through daily yoga, meditation and pranayama practice, we will delve deeper into all aspects of our being to restore physical, spiritual and emotional harmony. Opening curious conversation between all the parts that make us whole, with pathways of presence to support you on your journey.
We have a choice of two yoga shalas to enjoy during our stay; an outdoor yoga platform shaded by the wild trees overlooking the sea. The other is inside the main house, nestled into the rocks and flooded with natural light and mysticism.
There will be an opportunity to move and stretch, also to rest and receive bathed in sound and vibration with a Sound Bath on most evenings. Every element of this retreat will be carefully crafted for your comfort and ease, so you can softly sigh into being.

Verity first came to the mat some twenty years ago on her own journey to wholeness. Yoga opened pathways of presence with space to integrate her emotions and assimilate day life.
An experienced teacher in the ISHTA Yoga tradition, Verity has been teaching and sharing Yoga since 2017 in various locations in the South of England. Coming through Ayurvedic schools, the principles of nature and the influence of the elements inform and inspire all that she does.
More recently, Verity has begun fusing her Eastern training with traditions from our land – moving cyclically with the turning of the year and the seasons. Her training has taken her deeper into Yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, Somatic Movement, Sound Healing and mystical wisdom… devoted to the path and helping others on their journey to wholeness.
We will wake early to set our circadian rhythms to the energy of the surrounding sun and sea. Enjoying a long, fluid and expansive yoga practice on the outside deck, facing the sea.
After practice, we will share a deliciously healthy and nourishing brunch before our long afternoon of rest, relaxation or sea swimming.
Late afternoon is another time for movement, returning to one of our choice of two yoga shalas.
Following our afternoon practice we will return to dine together.
There will be evening sound baths or meditation practices to send you easefully to bed on 4 of the 7 evenings we share in Itha108.
Wednesday is a free day for island exploration, or deep healing rest and restoration.
Our food will be freshly prepared, delicious, Mediterranean-influenced, and vegetarian (mainly using local organic products). We will enjoy a small light bite before each morning practice to build our hunger for brunch. A sweet treat of cake and tea before our afternoon practice will build our appetite for supper. Herbal teas with fresh herbs, lemon and ginger will be available throughout the day, as will a tasty home-baked biscuit or two to take with you to the beach or poolside.
On Wednesday, we will not have an afternoon or evening practice, and there will be an option to dine out together in a local fishing village restaurant.
