Louise qualified as a yoga teacher in 2018 and believes that yoga is a very personal and individual experience for everyone. One that can bring a deeper understanding of our own unique nature and build physical and emotional strength allowing us to embrace life’s joys and challenges. Louise loves the creative aspects and graceful flowing movement of yoga and offers a safe and nurturing environment in which to explore and move.
Louise’s first experiences of yoga was in an Iyengar class in 1998 when she was pregnant with her first child. She has not forgotten how amazing it made her feel and how it helped her during the birth of her son.
It wasn’t until eight years ago when Louise began attending Lucy Parker’s yoga classes at Pantiles yoga that she became completely hooked. It was the first time she’d tried vinyasa flow and she loved the creative aspect and the graceful flowing movements from one asana to the next – no two classes were ever the same.
Louise also appreciated the focus on correct alignment and being able to challenge herself in a safe and nurturing environment. Of course, it was also an opportunity to be light-hearted, play and have fun.
As a qualified teacher with Yogacampus, it is these qualities she aims to develop in her own teaching.
