Bone is the architecture of the body, giving us both structure and form. It is the deepest and densest living tissue within us, supporting and channeling vital forces throughout us. The skeletal system is like the blueprint of our body, giving us both structure and form.

But bones are not just part of our physical form. They also carry the story of who we are, responding daily to life events and impacts. They lie beneath the surface, beyond the reactions of muscles and external expressions, and hold the key to our individual identity, generating bone marrow, blood and stem cells. 

To feel it in our bones, connects us to deep wisdom and understanding, to a truth that we can sense at our core, and speaks to our very essence

This workshop will include:

  • Breath awareness

  • Somatic movement

  • Yogasana flow

  • Yin and restorative practice

  • Deep relaxation practice

  • Closing meditation and reflection

When: Friday 21st March 10 am - 3 pm

Jean Hall

Jean is an author, yoga teacher and somatic movement educator to both students and teachers alike in the UK and internationally.

As a curious lover of movement and creativity, she has spent much of her life exploring bodywork disciplines, practising yoga and travelling. She initially qualified as an Iyengar Yoga teacher in 1995 and has continued studying, practising, and teaching vinyasa, mindfulness, Buddhist meditation, and somatic movement. 

As well as teaching for some 25 years, she also writes, mentors, and runs teacher training programs and is a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with the Yoga Alliance Professionals (SYT) and an Experience Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance (US).

Jean teaches inspiring somatic-based yoga that sources the breath for movement flow, strength, balance and awareness. She teaches both in-person and online in the UK and abroad. Her books are sold worldwide. www.yogajeannie.com.
